important. From the beginning the band focused mainly on the interpretation of instrumental arranges for solo instruments with orchestral accompaniment. The band repertoire consists mainly of customization of musical themes from Moravian-Slovak border and sometimes even songs from Romania and Hungary. The members of the band are currently working together with the metal formation Paladran and they cooperate with the band Čechomor in some studio work (CD called Sváteční Čechomor – Sony BMG 2007).
           

Musica Folklorica has participated in a number of concerts and performances, every year they are part of the international folk festival called Ozvěny Horňácka or Zlatohorský Music Festival etc.  One of the most interesting projects is the cooperation with the Japanese cimbalom player and composer Hiroshim Saito. The band has so far released four music CDs -  “Petr Pavlinec – Cimbál sólo“ (Tonstudio 2001), “Musica Folklorica“ (Petr Pavlinec 2005) and “Bola zima, velká metelica“ (Petr Pavlinec 2007), Chiasmatic - Temptament (2009). The second title, in particular, started more significant cooperation with an excellent clarinetist and tarogatist Jaroslav Čajka. And this cooperation is not coincidental. Not only are they close to each other regionally but also they both received the Foskar award that is awarded on the occasion of the International Folklore Festival in Strážnice. In the category of “Individual musical performance” Petr Pavlinec won in 2003 and Jaroslav Čajka in 2004.
