Duo KIESLOWSKI and their debut “Silent Loves” have recently pleasantly surprised the audience. Their album is a fragile statement about the love hidden deep down in all of us. The debut was positively received by professionals and almost immediately it was nominated for The Album of a Year by Tais Awards. (http://www.taisawards.com/inpage/cat-n-6-album-i-12-12/).

“Silent Loves” may refer to the rockroll past of DKP but the songs are surprisingly clear, and have a folk-like sound. The folk melodies emerging from the sound of raw guitar “noise” can be referred to as a part of the new wave of Czech folk singers.

DKP (guitar, vocals, music and lyrics) played in Bez peri (Featherless) and Houpaci kone (Rocking Horses) bands. He was also a member of an accompanying band of Xavier Baumaxa. Together with the piano player Marie Kieslowski (piano, vocals) they form a duo relying on intimacy and the raw feeling of the basic acoustic sound of a guitar and a piano, as well as the contrast of their two expressive, colourful voices.
